About the event
The Grade 6/7/8s of Pender Island Middle School have been working hard with instructor Wren Wilde on their performance of Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s “The Little Prince”. Once a week they have gotten together to practice scenes and lines, work on what goes into creating a play, and learn about theater and improv. The class had approximately 15 hours to create this show and they are very excited to bring it to their community to perform.
As well as a theatre with Wren Wilde, the students have been working with Henny Verhoeven on learning how to design, make, alter and sew costumes as well as large and small props. The two classes have worked closely together, collaborating on building set pieces and learning about both the acting and backstage process.
The play will be a heartwarming and inspiring show that has been filled with passion and care. Wren, Henny, and both their classes are thrilled for you to see it!
